André Armand Cardinal Vingt-Trois (born November 7, 1942 in Paris, France) was ordained a priest of Paris on June 28, 1969. During the time of his pastoral ministry, he worked primarily in formation of laity and parochial catechetics. In 1988, he was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Paris (which became Archbishop in 2005). That same year he was ordained Titular Bishop of Thibilis. In 1999, he was installed as Archbishop of Tours, France and in 2005 he was appointed Ordinary of France, Faithful of Eastern Rites. He still holds this position today as well as Cardinal-Priest of S. Luigi dei Francesi (installed April 27, 2008).
